What is syllabus?

Before proceeding we have to know the meaning of syllabus where by Syllabus is all essential information about a  subject or courses in a  certain school .It includes a list of the topic to study, dates and all information about test, quiz and examination. You as a teacher you will be provided with syllabus by your professor about your classes and subjects which you’re going to teach either  History, Kiswahili, Biology, Geography etc. Tanzania education system has its syllabus which guides teachers in teaching from  form one to form four also at primary level but for advanced level yet there is no syllabus. Also Tanzania syllabus has main 4 basic part which every teacher should know it for its success in teaching.

At this part is where you will found all readings like books, online resources and other information which you will need to have for class studies. Also in this part is where you can found additional tools which will assist you as a teacher to conduct studying such tools including Calculator or other software.

Policies 

This is important parts of syllabus where by in this part it will show you how you will be graded, also attendance requirements and how you expect the learner to behave in classroom. Also this part show how student with disability can request for assistance and how they can be assisted   by teacher. So if your  teacher you have  observe and lead this section carefully so as to provide better support  disability students and to know how you can handle them.

Class Time

The syllabus will includes when the class will be conducted  and when test and examination will be conducted. So this section is very important and it contains all subjects for class and included all test time and examination for all subjects.
